Andrew Fauth

Chief Technology Officer

 

Andrew is responsible for research and development, product management, quality and regulatory at OsteoCentric Technologies. Andrew brings to OsteoCentric over 20 years of medical device expertise. As Group General Manager, Andrew led all of the R&D activities for CoorsTek Medical (formerly MedicineLodge and IMDS) which included product development, intellectual property management, prototyping, business development, surgeon partnerships, and strategic transactions. During his tenure at CoorsTek Medical and its predecessors, Andrew was involved in hundreds of innovative orthopedic development projects spanning fields such as spine, sports medicine, extremities, trauma, joint reconstruction, general surgery, and other fields. In addition, Andrew has experience managing full-scale operations in contract manufacturing, emphasizing lean and continuous improvement processes and strategies. Andrew has Bachelor’s degree from Linfield College and both Master’s and Doctoral degrees from The Pennsylvania State University in Kinesiology/Biomechanics with a doctoral minor in Mechanical Engineering and holds over 30 issued patents.

Thomas Perry

Director of Engineering

 

Thomas is responsible for the management of design projects and overseeing the engineering staff in the Austin office. Thomas began his career working with Alphatec Spine as an engineer is their customs department and later leading the customs group.  He then moved to Ellipse Technologies/NuVasive Specialized Orthopedics as a Senior Project Engineer leading design projects in limb lengthening and managing the cadaver lab. Just prior to joining OsteoCentric, he worked for K2M in the specials department as their lead engineer working with neurosurgeons to develop personalized instrumentation tailored to their surgical needs and mentoring younger engineering staff. Thomas has a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Toledo in Bioengineering and a Masters degree in Medical Device Engineering from the University of California, San Diego.

Justin Hyer

Director of Engineering

 

Justin is an engineering manager working in product development. Justin joins the OsteoCentric team with 12 years of combined manufacturing and engineering experience. He attended Utah State University as a Biological Engineering student as he prepared for medical school. While at USU, he worked for a local machine shop where his love for manufacturing and engineering became so strong, he decided to skip medical school and entered the medical device space as a product development engineer. Since then, he has worked in various spaces including small bone trauma, spine, and joint reconstruction and even completed a stint as a senior manufacturing engineer where he was instrumental in increasing profitability and providing customers with support during their product launches.

Mary Sinnott

Principal Engineer

 

Mary brings over 25 years of medical device design and development experience to the OsteoCentric R&D Team. As a Principal Engineer she has developed products in sports medicine, extremities, spine, trauma, general surgery, cardiovascular surgery, and interventional radiology. Before joining OsteoCentric Technologies Mary worked in several startup companies and larger OEMs (including MedicineLodge, IMDS, VentureMD, Surgical Frontiers, Stryker Sports Medicine, and Merit Medical) working with surgeon, marketing, business development, and quality teams to bring products to market. Mary has a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Utah, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree from the University of Toronto. She holds over 50 issued US patents with additional patents pending.

Quinten Kunz

Senior Product Development Engineer

 

Quinten graduated from Utah State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and brings with him three years of experience from Autoliv, one of the world’s largest manufacturers in automotive safety equipment. While at Autoliv he worked in Research and Development and led a Global Development Team for Rear Side Airbags, which included design, development, and testing. Since that time Quinten has worked with OsteoCentric and has been key in bringing multiple projects to launch in the OsteoCentric Trauma division.

Ryan Freed

Senior Product Development Engineer

 

Ryan Freed joins us with five years of experience in the medical device industry. His product development expertise includes total joint replacements, long bone trauma, extremities, and craniomaxillofacial devices. In addition to product development, he managed sales training and medical education programs through his previous role at OsteoMed. Ryan is passionate about the orthopedic device space and enjoys all aspects of commercializing new products. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from Clemson University and Masters degree in Biomechanics from Rush University.

Harrison Holden

Manufacturing Engineer

 

Harrison joins OsteoCentric Technologies with over 10 years of experience in engineering and manufacturing.  He began his career in the firearms industry, working for a startup. He was responsible for the design, prototyping, testing, and manufacturing of new products. He then moved to the aerospace field as a Systems Engineer responsible for verification and validation of satellites. Harrison holds a bachelor’s degree in Integrated Engineering from Southern Utah University.

Rulon Bauer

Director of Innovative Manufacturing

 

Rulon has over 25 years of CNC machining experience and is a forever student in the University of Hard Knocks and Real Life. Rulon started at OsteoCentric 2 years ago as the Shop Manager and responsibilities include parts manufacturing prior to full production. Rulon and his family live in beautiful Idaho and enjoy spending their free time fishing, camping, hunting and enjoying the great outdoors with their dogs and horses.
